The Ijade Conference took place at Liverpool Tate, Ijade means myself and Jade went to represent Positive You and gave a presentation about “Who is in the Driving Seat” and how we collaborate together.
'Who is in the Driving Seat” is a tool that myself and Jade use when explaining how we collaborate. It is like a car journey, I am the Driver and Jade is next to me in the passenger seat, I think of ideas for the creative activities, when to put the brakes on, where the course is going, also the speed of the car. I really enjoyed my first conference as I wasn't nervous at all, I felt relaxed when presenting this and the question time too knowing that Jade was there and answering them together as this did make me feel good. What I learnt on the day of the conference was listening to the other speakers which were very interesting and it certainly gave me food for thought. From listening to one speaker when she mentioned about printing, this inspired me around the exercises that I do within Positive You. Since then I learned about somewhere I can go to that do a block printing course.
