Halton Speak Out is a self advocacy group to give people with disabilities a voice. I have been working there since 2001 and soon they will be having a Annual General Meeting to share the teams success and achievements within the projects.
I have been asked to have a Positive You Stand at this event I will answer questions and to sign people up for the course.

Myself and Jade have set me up a Linkedin account as I am looking to develop my professional network. Feel free to add me!
Leah's LinkedIn I have tried a new exercise called Celebration Box. In this exercise I ask people to write or draw all the things that they like and admire about themselves, to help them to build good self esteem.
These are some of the pictures of my Celebration Box. On my box I have included all the things that I like and admire about myself. For example, I chose theatre faces and music notes to represent that I like acting and music and these things make me happy. I drawn the Runcorn and Widnes Bridge to represent my hometown and my friends who still live there as they are important to me in my life. |
