Mal received an e mail from Dave Sweeney who is Halton's Deputy Chief Operating Officer, collected the Leading Service Improvement and innovation award at an important event. This recognises how he has been in supporting the local NHS to thrive in challenging times and has successfully created approaches that promote closer communities and better well being for the CCG.
Well Being Enterprise helps and inspires people to expand on their dream job and to promote what they do, this means that people who are out in their communities and making a difference by applying for a grant and to see if they are successful.
I won a grant for Positive You. I did my presentation on how I spent the money I received such as sewing lessons with Becky, a One Day Workshop in Knowsley and coming up I am doing a Take Over at the Brindley Theatre in Runcorn for World Downs Syndrome.
Dave wanted myself, Laura and Thomas to do a presentation about how the Well Being Enterprise has changed our lives. This took place at Quaker House in Liverpool. I was a little nervous but once I got up there and did it, it began to fizzle out I started to feel confident.
